Has anyone been to Inks Lake? My husband and I went there a few years back and it is just gorgeous. It is in the Hill Country. While there we drove to Waco and did some sightseeing and then did some shopping in Fredricksburgh.

http://krausesprings.net/ We haven't yet, so many places, so little time. I did get this from a friend. Krause Springs in Spicewood TX. Looks absolutely beautiful. Go to site and scroll down to the photo tour. Only down side for those with dogs is no dogs allowed. Located about 40 miles west of Waco Texas.

If I weren't storing Podterfly up north, I would not be able to go too. Normally (if you can call it that), the first Texas Roundup's have been in the Austin/San Antonio Area. Lerner, TX KOA last OCT 2009 (THE VERY FIRST ROUNDUP), BuescherState Park in March 2010, Palmetto State Park Sept 2010. When we were discussing Oct several people who live in the area suggested Hunstville, plus we were hoping to attract a few LA Podders as well. There is a TEXAS DISCUSSION 2010 thread, if you have some suggestions for Roundups later this year, go ahead a drop a couple of lines. Or maybe start a 2011 discussion thread maybe down in the valley for Jan / Feb or something Mid Texas for March / April. etc etc Sorry you can't make it. Lee ![]() |

I love Inks Lake. One of the best parks in Texas. I haven't spent any time there in the Pod, but my buddies and I used to tent camp and backpack in the area. Plus we paddled many a mile in our canoes. If you haven't been, please correct that deficiency as soon as possible. You'll be glad you did.
