Linda,
We left Flagstaff, AZ the second week of October a couple of years ago and traveled east on I 40.  It rained all the way to Kentucky and the winds were quite high from Albuquerque  to Oklahoma City.  We were not pulling the Pod. If we had been, it would have blown us off the road.  As it was, we stopped at 3pm one afternoon and got a room because the wind was so high and blowing us around.  There were probably 20 travel trailers parked in the hotel lot and restaurant lot next door. This may have not been the norm for October.  Maybe someone else has driven it at that time.

Hi Linda, We haven't gone coast to coast yet but if you've got the opportunity and the desire, do it.
No time like the present to live your dreams.  Just take it easy out there.
get out of the door and light out and look all around . . .

Linda we made it through the rockies near the end of Sept. You just need to keep your eyes open and check the weather forecasts. Are you leaving soon? I would try to plan no more than 6 hours drive time a day. It quickly gets exhausting to do more than that. When we did the trip I tried to plan the next days stop and make reservations the day ahead. It wasn't too crowded after labor day and you don't need to worry too much about sites til things start shutting down in Oct. If going before labor day reservations may be an issue in some places. Good luck!

We were in the middle of a cross country trip, having left Arizona 3800 miles behind ( and currently in the Adirondack mountains of New York State), when we purchased our-pod.

We finished the trip 4200 miles, and 4-weeks later.   And with the exception of the back bunk fiberglass cover coming open while on the road one day, we had no negative incidents.    Needless to say, we love our-pod!

Go for the trip!     CCDAMEEK
