Hi everyone, we recently purchased a model 177. It was love at first sight!
We live in northern Ontario and got our r pod at Campkins rv sales in Whitby.
They were very helpful (we weren't a hard sale lol)! We go March 16th to have the braking system installed in our 2009 Santa Fe, and get the walk through. I have found lots of helpful information here, and feel confident we have made a wise choice.
We fall into the "empty nest" category, and hubby will retire in two years.
It will be a nice change from tent camping, and will open up lots of new opportunities for travel.
Our grandson will be two this July and we can't wait to take him out.
The first thing I want to do is train our 4 year old Portuguese water dog where the entance to the R dome is, we had a little mishap with our gazebo last summer!! She was resting by our feet until the cat wandered by...let's just say there was a new opening after that! lol
In the meantime we will make plans and wait patiently, thanks again for all your valuable information, Mike and Deb

Congratulations, honey pod! I'm sure that you'll love your new 177!
I also bought at Campkins and had a great experience. Make sure to set aside a couple of hours for your walk-through, they're very thorough.

Congrats M&D !!!
We also have a 177 and glad we do. We use a Honda Ridgeline for towing, and it does OK. We decided to pull the Pod out of storage this Thursday just to get back inside of it for a few mod-things. It shows signs here of warming up. Let us know how your pick-up goes !!! |

Congrats on the new Pod. I think your grandson will love camping. We started taking our oldest grandson when he was 3 and he is an old pro now. Our grandsons are now 2 and 5. They think we bought the 172 just for them (which is partly true ). We intend to take them with us a lot this summer.
Happy Camping

Congrats and Welcome Mike and Deb!
We have a 177 also, and just love it. Take notes during that walk-through as there is SO much info to remember. |

We have a 177 not to many of us here. You will really like it,half of the fun is making mods and personalizing the unit to your needs and liking. Welcome.

Hi everyone, we dropped into the dealers on Friday and had another look at the pod, we wanted to take some measurements etc.
We are all set to go on the 16th for the walk through and pick up...yea!
One thing we didn't get was the size of the r dome, I'm pretty sure it is 12' w, but not sure on the depth???

It's 8' wide, slightly wider than the pod itself. |
