Not sure if we are doing something wrong or if the furnace is not working but we cant get the darn thing to run. The instructions we have are pretty simple, just open the lp valve and turn on at the thermostat?
Are we missing a step? Is there a switch on the actual furnace, because we have no access to the furnace itself unless we take the bed apart???
Have checked fuse, and turned on the burners to make sure there is fuel in the line.
But all that happens is the fan runs for about 30 seconds and then shuts down.
Help, we will be very sad if we have to take our pod back to the dealer
Thanks,
Deb and Mike, feelin' cold in our 177

Yes, its as simple as turning on the propane and turning up the wall thermostat. There are no extra switches or propane valves or anything which have to be fiddled with.
And yes, you've followed the correct procedure by: a) Checking your fuse panel. Make sure that a fuse isn't burnt out. If there is, there will be a red light light beside the offending fuse. b) Purging air from your propane lines by lighting your gas stove. Once the stove is lit, you should be fine. You should also: c) Be patient. Turn the thermostat up to high and wait. Give it two hours. The furnace should automatically try to relight several times. However, "runs for 30 seconds and then shuts down" indicates that there could be an ignition problem. A visit to your dealer may be necessary to fix the furnace.

Deb & Mike ....
Had the same problem in our 177. It was intermitant unfortunately.
Couch's got it to work, local dealer got it to work.
Luckly we had a portable heater our first night in October. It worked Great !!
Our stove was operating fine too. But the furnace kept re-cycling three times, then shut-down.
Then we'd try it again, same result, 3 cycles, then shutdown. No Heat.
We're going to keep trying as soon as we get the outdoor 30amp plug for the Pod changed next week.
Some think its "gunk" in the lines and they need to be purged.
All we know is the LP tank is operating, filled, and "open" when we try the furnace. The stove is working fine.
If your plugged in, and you dont notice any presence of escaping LP in and/or around the Pod, then keep cycling the furnace and perhaps it may purge itself.
Do Not attempt anything other than normal operation, it is better to leave the technical stuff to a qualified service shop. I dont believe there are any switches under the access panel.
Ive "looked" a time or two myself. |

Thanks, for your help.
I think it is an ignition problem, there is no click click sound telling us that the furnace is trying to light...just the fan comes on and then nothing..
Hubby is going to call the dealership today and see what they have to say.
