    Posted: 09 May 2010 at 8:26pm

Hello everyone. Don and I (Mary) are attempting to organize the Farewell Sunday Morning Make Your Own Omelet Breakfast beginning at 8:00 AM.  I believe we have 37 R-Pods and 80 attendees at this time

We are asking that anyone wanting an omelet to bring their own egg(s).  We will furnish bags and have additional eggs on hand if the need arises.  Also, bring your own tableware – plates, cups, napkins and silverware.

According to previous posts and communications,  we have the following commitments:

30 Cup Coffee Pot – Mrs Piper

Extension Cord – Sandpiper & Mary

          Turkey Fryer – Poddink

          Costa Rican Coffee – Sylviablue

Keurig K Coffee Maker, Coffee, Teas, Hot Chocolate, Decaf – Tusten Traveler

1 Pound Sausage – Sandpiper & Mrs. Piper

1 Pound Bacon – Sandpiper & Mrs. Piper

          1 - 2 Pounds Chopped Ham – Don & Mary

We would appreciate a contribution of ingredients such as:  chopped mushrooms, chopped peppers, chopped onions, shredded cheese, hot sauce, etc. Feel free to use your imagination.  It would be nice to have an additional large coffee pot and another turkey fryer on hand if needed.

Contributions of other breakfast items such as milk, juice, jelly, bread, biscuits, gravy, fruit would be appreciated (and anything that I have forgotten to list).

So, right now we need the following:

1.     Your name (screen name is fine)

2.     How many people in your pod (including yourself)

3.     What you would want to bring

You can either post your response in this thread or send a message to Mary & Don.  It's not a problem if you do not want an omelet but wish to enjoy the other food provided.

We will compile a list of contributions and post in the “Eastern Roundup Information Only” thread.

Thanks for your help!  Lets all have a good time and enjoy our fellow podders!

I know you are bringing that great Costa Rican Coffee - are you questioning the call out for fruit or are you not sure of what kind to bring?  Some people like fresh fruit for breakfast - oranges, strawberries, grapes or even a fresh fruit salad.
Thanks,
Mary

Thank you TN Pod.  That's a good idea on the 12 cup coffee pot.  Don & I also have one.   If needed, we could quickly make a couple extra pots of coffee with them and cover the need for a quick cup in the  morning.  Those large pots can be slow to brew.

That would be great.  I can be kind of dense, so wanted to be sure.  Even if we overindulge in the other areas, the fruit would cancel out all the calories and cholesterol from the other treats.

We will be looking forward to the Costa Rican coffee. We visited Costa Rica a few years ago and have been hooked on their coffee ever since. We now consider ourselves to be “coffee snobs.” Costa Rica spoiled us.

If you like coffee you should like what we are bringing.  One of the best things about it is the freshness.
I'm not an omelete person so thought fruit would be nice.  Not big on sweets either though I could be tempted by home made cinnamon rolls.
