CAMP STYLE BUFFALO WINGS
This is an easy meal and will be loved by young people and those who love spicy food - no flour needed. 2 lbs chicken wings (defrosted / whole wings if you can butcher - saves you $$$) Goya adobo seasoning (or any all purpose salt seasoning) bottle of your favorite wings sauce (my favorite is the Anchor Bar Hot Sauce sold at many stores in Midwest and East - made in Buffalo, NY) Cut whole wings into three pieces each, drumettes, center wing, and tips discard tips (or use them to make broth for another dish) remove any remaining feathers or areas that make the squeamish scream season lightly with Adobo or salt season alternative get charcoal or gas grill medium-hot, or hot for small gas grills grill wing pieces flipping as they brown and get crispy (thicker drumettes cook longer - put them in hot spots) once wing pieces are nicely gold brown crispy, remove to an extra large bowl cool for a couple minutes, then add hot sauce sparingly flip, spin, stir or shake bowl to get an even coating add more wing sauce to your liking (test them first) develop a creative name - "blow torch hot wings" accompanies well with blue cheese dressing (or ranch), celery, paper towels/napkins, beer, and any other liquid to cool the fire in your mouth |
