Should be here week of Aug 23. Smile If it was just me I'd be happy with an old 1960's Scotty from craigslist. LOL  But hey, gotta keep the wife happy!!  Just kidding, both of us were smitten with the R-Pod after seeing one at an RV show last spring.  We'll be towing with a Honda Ridgeline.  So glad to have this forum of knowledgeable people.  Will be posting occasionally, but mostly reading and soaking up all the good info.

Welcome aboard Scooter. We also used our Ridgeline to pull a 177.
If your not familiar w/towing a single axle TT, I would recommend a Sway Bar. I believe our 177 towing experience would have been flawless if we would have had one. Ours is a '06 and we had the Class 3 hitch and 7+4 pin connectors installed @ Honda. Ordered a P3 electric brake controller & wire adapter and installed that myself. Easy as cake !
Expect 10MPG while towing your going to Luv your setup !!!

You mean a simple sway control like this?
Gonna have to tow a bit, see how it feels, see what proper tongue weight and balance does for it.  Regardless, $100 doesn't seem like much for extra stability and peace of mind.

I believe that Reese is highly recommended.

We have a member here from "etrailer" that would be a great resource for you when determining towing requirements, and also I'm sure there are other members here that are towing w/sway that could help you too. I agree that the first few tows will expose any issues. Weight distribution concerning tongue weight and loading Pod + tow vehicle is important too.
