Michigan - Yooper Pod Does Wells State Park

   We managed to get the Pod out last weekend for a very soggy trip to Wells State Park, south of Escanaba.

Trip was  pretty much uneventful but the coolest part was running into other Pod owners.  Right after we got set up, another Pod pulled in and parked several sites away.

They were putting up their dome (something we have been afraid to try) and they had a cool sense of humor with our watching them and asking (mostly dumb) questions.  We think we will give it a go next trip.

We also mentioned that we were getting no TV reception at all.  We were on Green Bay so had thought we could get their stations.

Pod owners asked if we had pushed in out antenna booster - had never heard about it.  That managed to get us several stations, poorly because of the weather, but at least it was something.

Wells State Park has got to be the best State Park we have seen - no question about it.  Sites are spacious, and grassy.  Their beach, swimming and pavillion area is fantastic.  We drove down the road to see their "rustic" cabins.  We know people that don't live in that nice of a house.
