    Posted: 11 Jun 2009 at 4:47pm
I plan on using the full hook ups for the first time , on our trip next week and was wondering if the supplied sewer hose is long enough or do I need to buy one of those kits that has a longer hose . Do I need one of those 90% elbow conections that fits into the park drain? Also is the tapered hose holder needed for proper drainage ? ( the one that sits on the ground ) . Any help would be appreciated .

The length of the hose will be okay...maybe.  The length needed will vary from campsite to campsite.  Take a look at where your 2 drain outlets are then line up your Pod so the sewer hookup is in the middle of your 2 drain outlets.  Hopefully it will work for you.

Chances are you will be okay with just the hose as far as draining goes.  Be sure to wear disposable latex gloves when handling the sewer hose.  You should have a 90* connection and a rubber donut.  Donut goes into the drain and the 90* into the donut.

At some point get yourself a small piece of water hose, around 4 or 5 feet long.  Use that to flush out your sewer hose.

Make sure that you don't open up your valve for you black tank for free flow.  It must be 3/4 full to expel solid waste.  Before you leave, check your level.  If it is not 3/4 full, open up your toilet and keep letting the water run until you reach the desired level, then dump.
Let's hit the road!
