okiecamper, I can feel you pain.  On my 175, the low point drains are directly above the axle, between the wheel and the frame.  Very tight area to work.  I just pumped a gallon of pink anti-freeze into the system and I am going to call it good.  It was very hard to get one pair of pliers under there, would be nearly impossible to get two pairs under there, plus me, all the while having to wear my bi-focals upside down so I could see.  Rob

yea Bob, My drain was leaking  when they winterized it and they couldnt fix it right then

so I will either have to have them take care of it  or do something else

I am partially  handicapped in my right arm and hand because of a nerve condition in my shoulder
so I actually have only my left hand that is any good at that kind of things.

so its exceptionally  harder for me

thanks guys

I found that a small to medium sized vice grip  on the top hex nut so it holds it in place

then use a socket  to tighten and loosen the cap worked for me well.
dont tighten too much just enough

and also the tech at the dealer told me to use a small 1/2" cone type washer to go
into the cap to fit up next to the end of the fitting to seal it.

we will see .

thanks all for all the good tips and advice

I wonder if that type of fitting that is on those drain tubes can be taken off and replaced with a better  fitting thats not so difficult to work with?

Use  Search  for low drains or water tank drains, there have been many mods posted about what other poders did with pictures  to simplify draining their tanks.  I wish i knew how to cut and paste i would have posted some of them.

I would like to take off those fittings, replace them with a pice of the  regular water lines   of the trailer
bring them down along the frame or attach them to the floor  and put a elbow on them , then attach a
ball cock to drain each line.

Is that possible???
