pmjensen,
Okay we've reserved Adolph Thomae Jr county park. Arriving 4/15 for three nights, site #29.

I'm curious about something: He was going to put us in site #28 but that wasn't on your list. He said he was surprised as it's one of their best sites.

Hope you can join us.

Okay, scratch that. The distances involved in driving in Texas are mind boggling to a New Englander. The main purpose of our trip was to see the Padre Island National Seashore. I didn't have any idea that it wouldn't be a day trip from anywhere along the coast. It's not. So now we're talking about spending that weekend at IB Magee park to be closer to the national park.

Yes Peggy, the state of Texas is HUGE! Driving across from east to west or north to south can take FOREVER! I myself have never driven all the way across, I have driven from north texas to the southern coast and it was a very long day. Enjoy your trip! Be sure to post pics! Approve

We drove across Texas once, east to west.  Seems like it took forever.

Better check your map carefully. You May Still Be in Texas.LOL See you in KY. We'll be right across the street from you, that is if anyone can afford to drive up there with the New, Improved, gas prices.Angry

We are officially booked at IB Magee Park for the 15th and 16th. Butterfly_Lee has also booked for those nights and we're hoping other area podders will join us. Of the 75 spots in the campground, only 19 were still available for those nights.
