OK, I may be wrong and have my colors reversed. Maybe ours started out brown on both sides and turned gray on th outside like yours. It doesn't make sense that it would be otherwise. Ours is packed up for our move to Florida so I can't get at it to look but I'm going to go along with what you see on yours.

Just make sure that if you buy the cover from NT that it's made specifically for the 181G or 182G as they're 2' longer than the 17x models.

Just wondered if anyone's tried one of the Northern Tool covers on a 177 and what their impression was as to fit, durability, etc. etc.
