We want to put in an outside shower in our 176 and wondered if any one else has done that. Our Rpod has the push out kitchen and bunk beds in the front. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Clark.

I don't know all the models floor plans, but we have a 177, and our plan after looking behind the panels for the water pump is that there is no reason at all that we/you couldn't add one to the slide. That's our plan. Layout and tape the cutout, cut it with rotary wheel or even a jigsaw, "T" off the water lines for the sink, caulk and screw into place. Use sharkbite fittings. Easypeeesy.

I was going to do something similar, but on the curb side. I found this on amazon and figured I could put it aft of the bathroom in the storage compartment and plumb into the bathroom plumbing.
This would make it easy to fill up our dog's water buckets.

This is the outdoor shower that I had with my popup before getting my rpod; it runs on 6 D-size batteries; the green bag on the right contains a shower tent. The clear bucket on the left can be filled with hot water and the motor driven shower head pumps the water from that bucket. The whole thing is hung from whatever, although if I use the shower tent there are lots of places to hang the bucket. I used it a lot when I had my popup and now have it stored in my pod. |

I noted a shower assembly with hot and cold and a hose/ shower head in a sidewall mounted box with cover in the latest Camping World ads for around $50. It would require the same install as mentioned above.

I had the dealer install an outside shower on my 2010 172 before we took delivery. They put it right above the storage compartment under the bunk beds; opposite the door. It is a small door; about 12" X 14". You pull out the hose and attach it to the side of the POD. It has hot and cold handles inside the door. I rigged up a "redneck" shower inclosure and it works great. I primitive camp about 99% in the woods in North Georgia; so privacy is not an issue. The dealer charged me $200.

My brother and I were just talking about adding an outside shower to my Rpod. We had taken our families (including dogs) camping at Myrtle Beach. His hybrid trailer has an outside shower, and it came in pretty handy. I'll install it on my 177's slideout like Furpod is going to do. I just ordered this one from Amazon

Good... you go first.. take pictures.. lol. I was just up under the sink and such today cleaning up from camping this weekend.. proof of the "fur" part of furpod was wrapped up all over under there.. I pulled out more fur then most campers have dog.
We are going to do a awning over the slide first. It's high on our list as some friends had to have the whole slide on their trailer replaced due to water damage around the slide.. |

As soon as I figure out how to post pictures; I will show you what the dealer did for me. They installed a outside shower that looks factory installed. They charged me $ 200.00; but so far it has been well worth it. Wish me luck on the pix.
