Glad you volunteered!  If you want I could be your partner or just your back up.  You live close enough to us that we could use carrier pigeons to communicate!
Let's try some dates and places for now and see what reaction we get.

What's your favorite Kentucky Park?

Late May?

No, no, Rita. Mark meant for you to step up!  LOL! It's not hard to be an un-leader. Just pick your spot and dates. They will come. Seems that Rosemary and Rick are going to Bone Lick for Memorial Day. That's Indy week for me, so I can't make that trip.

We are going to have a super busy summer schedule.  Just post the dates and place and we will try to attend.

Big Bone, Horse Park and Boonesborough have all been utilized in the past with success.

We're fond of Nolin Lake but it's small, also My Old Kentucky Home.

Big Bone Lick is good and if Rosemary and Rick are already going we're on a roll.  When is Memorial Day?

Sites are getting to be few at Big Bone. Would love to see everyone. Jack, at Boonesborough, was asking when our group was coming back. Horse Park fills up fast. Barren River federal park is nice. Right on lake. Maybe not as group friendly tho. I will help but Not be the unleader. Lol
The first few weeks of June are not as

good for us unless we are close to Cincinnati since our daughter is expecting around that time.

We will be at Big Bone Lick on May 23 site 44. There are about 7 sites left.
We are at Fort Boonesborough July 3-July 10 on site 78. We are there 7 days and not sure if you can reserve fewer since it is a holiday. If there is a seven day limit, the website will not let you reserve.
We are ready to go camping and also seeing everyone again.

Well.. I didn't necessarily mean her (Rita).. but somebody.

And not me! LOL.

It is simple though, and Tink covered it. pick a place and date, announce it.. then roll. The unleader sets a few things up, like.. "hey, pot luck at 5pm on Saturday.." and "we are going to the 'vette museum, who wants to go" type stuff.. The trick is to not be disappointed if everyone doesn't want to go to breakfast at 7am.. (you know who you are.. Wink )

Sue and I have not sorted out our camping year just yet, I know we are doing a samboree or two, want to do some time with the podders.. need to burn up a few days with 1000 trails.. Never been to LBL.. Need a weekend at O'Bannon.. trying to decide on the F.R.O.G., the Eastern Pod rally in NC, etc. etc.

But, both our families have some big things going on this year/summer, and the Dakota issue remains... He is so gimpy now it's very hard to watch him try to get around, but it doesn't seem to bother him a bit. But stairs are completely out of his reach now. The one step in/out of the garage has him balking regularly..

We have the last weekend of June booked at Horse Park already, but were leaving our early June open so we could hopefully bump into everyone then.
