That is great.I think we are at 10 now! What model did you get? Doesn't really matter, you are going to love it. Where will you be coming from? We just returned from Leadville, CO a few hours ago after a great week of hiking and camping in the R-pod. I got the best mileage ever towing on this trip, an average of 16.1 mpg. Good tail winds a lot of the time. Looking forward to Labor Day next!

Welcome back from your trip. To answer your questions: our pod is a 177 pulled with a Ford 150 from Lake Lotawana, MO ( just south of Blue Springs, MO.)
Your gas mileage was exceptional. Would bet that best gas mileage was coming down the "hill" into Denver. Out of curiosity, what are you pulling with and at what speed did you drive. Looking forward to Labor Day weekend! |

Arthro, Ford F-150 (Eco Boost) and that was the average for the whole trip from and back to KC. Getting about 25 coming down the mountains helped, but getting 10 going up the mountains balanced that out. It really surprised me. we had very strong tail winds going out, and only a modest head wind returning. See you at Weston Bend.

I could be wrong, with additions and cancellations and some folks using more than one name, but we are at 10 or 11 at the moment. The weather forecast looks very warm, kind of like last year, but so far no major rain predicted. It has been hot here in the city. Weston Bend, under the trees will be cooler, and evenings and mornings have been pleasant!. Really looking forward to it. The pod is in the driveway all clean and ready, BBQ is on order, and we are READY!!! See you all on Friday!!!
