And check to make sure the electrical connection at the adapter is not overheating after the AC's been running a few minutes.

I just got our 178 this weekend, and noted two plastic filter looking things which I couldn't find listed or discussed in the manual I have.  Are these like air filters and where do you use them or put them in the air conditioner unit???Geek

Not quite clear what you're asking. Did you find some filters laying around inside the Pod? I think the only filters in the R-Pod are the AC filters. They snap in to the interior portion of the AC unit. They should be gently cleaned at least once a year.

Ok, they look kinda like a dryer filter, and they were in the envelope that the installation and operational manual was in, but looking in the manual couldn't find where or how to put them into the unit, like you would in your home unit.
But then I have found several manuals were very unclear as to how to operate various systems or appliances like the stereo and refrigerator, and I haven't yet found a manual for the TV or how to use antenna to find any stations to watch.

Yes those are your AC air filters probably, they go here.

I am so glad I've been able to find this site.  Seems the manuals I did get really didn't cover (I guess) the logical things one would need to make sure with new equipment were done right. Big smile
