As a result of other posts, I checked my newly purchased 179 and discovered that when lowered, the dining table is still an inch away from being level with the rest of the seating area to make the bed. Does anybody have a definitive answer from Forest River as to how they are going to rectify this problem? Then there is the problem with the dining pads not making a rectangular shaped bed.

Just took our 179 out for the first time this past weekend. We used the dining table/bed with our two young ones. It was better used as a single bed and simply could not be used as a double. This resulted in some rather stiff necks for the kids. Not only is there an inch difference as you stated, the cushions will not stay in place. We are now looking into a foam topper to help with the issue but you are correct and saying Forrest River needs to remedy this if the dining table is being advertised as a full bed.
If you have a gap, call your dealer. We were missing the long extra cushion needed to fill in the dead space to make a full bed. Our dealer contacted Forrest River who said that the extra cushion was included in 2015 models but would send us one free of charge. (after we put up a stink)

Any updates on the 179 table issue? We replaced the little nylon thingies on the table legs with self adhesive felt. Unfortunately the table is still TOO high.

My dealer gave me the long piece of cushion to fit the hole not filled in by the regular cushions and told me to take the four feet off the table legs. I'm really disappointed that their customer service didn't see this as a production issue and really make it right.
