I have not bought a r-pod yet.
I am torn between the 171 or 177. because my Tow vehicle is a 2014 nissan frontier 4cylinder. I would like to know what you poders think. |

If you are going to stick with a 4 cylinder anything, the 171, but honestly.. I would recommend a pop up or something. All pods have more frontal area than people realize.

I know I am knot going to be doing 55 up a hill.
I talk to a nissan service tech at my local nissan dealer, he says that the only difference between the 4and 6cyl. in the 2014 nissan frontier is the engine, same automatic tranny and drive train. 4cly. 3500 lb tow 6cly 6500 tow. I know i am at the max The r-pod dealer says the 171 is 2500 not 2205 dry weight. the 177 is 2700. #pack light. |

Ive pulled a Toyota Tacoma on a 16 ft trailer over 50 miles and it
did excellent. I have also pulled our 6000 lb horse trailer, not that I
would do it often, and it even pulled it pretty well and didnt really
have a tough time stopping it. As long as you use your gears correctly
to slow down and not have to use so much brake you should be just fine.
