Hi Everybody,
Last weekend we were out enjoying our first camp trip of the season when on the way home a Deer jumped out and hit us ... not only did he hit us but he missed our truck and went through the front wall of our camper and actually ended up in our camper alive!. Sadly highway patrol had the remove and shoot the poor thing. Just devastating experience. Our trailer has been totaled so we went off looking for a replacement as we cannot imagine not going camping. We love the feel and look of the Pods, we have looked in them before too. You actually get the feel of camping instead of living in a travel trailer. Sooooo we just lost our travel trailer due to the accident. A Coleman 192RD I think!!! so going to the Pod will be some compromise. We will lose the full shower/bathroom, not quite as much storage etc. We have made our mind up on the 179 due to the kitchen and interior storage, but I did love the feel of the 178 but not as much storage .. ahhhhhhh. Were due to finalize everything this week, I'm super excited but a little scared at the same time as they are different .. but I think a good different. Has anybody else done the same, move away from a travel trailer to a Pod? Thank you in advance |

Well.. the move away from a TT to a pod.. pod is a TT.. but yes, people have gone both up, and down to pods. From class A's even.
We came from an 31 foot Airstream actually. |

Am on the hunt for an R-pod. Saw one when driving down the road a few weeks ago, it was love at first site, followed it down the road until i could see the name of it and immediately came home and looked it up. So...what's the advice on finding a used one vs. new? Best place to look for used? What about negotiating with dealers? I know they are getting quite popular, so demand is high, making negotiating tougher. Any and all advice gladly taken. Hope to see a lot of you on the road and at one of the RTR's at some point.
