Has anybody replaced their R-dome with an awning? Where there any issues that you ran into in the conversion? In 2 years we have used the R-dome 3 times.

My understanding is there is significant structural differences in the wall of a Pod with awning versus a keder rail. Sure it can be done, but cost may be significant. I would contact Forest River and ask.

This is correct. Pods built before the awning was an option, have NO backers to support the awning installation. BUT, I must ask, why do you not use your dome? The dome does EVERYTHING the awning does, and the awning only does one thing.. The dome can be used as an awning, just zip off the front and roll up the sides. It can be used in any configuration from there to full on living room. |
