The sliding curtains on my 171 are not working good. The screws attaching the plastic rails that they ride on are not screwed in right and causing the curtains to get caught on the screws that are not seated right. So I've taken the cheap plastic rails off and want to replace them with something else, maybe nice wood if I can find it. And maybe even design a different shade for that horizontal window. Any ideas? I had thought about a dark tint but I want to be able to let the light in.

We also did not like the rear curtain arrangement on our R-177 and came up with an alternate:  Two 3/8" SST tubes retained in wood end pieces and used 1/2" nickel plated tarp eyelets set in the curtain top and bottom edges for the sliders. It was a combined effort on the part of my wife and myself and although it took quite a bit of work we are very pleased with the result. We also extended the concept (top rail only) for both of the windows at the head and foot of the bed.
