I know some people use compressed air, some use RV antifreeze and some use both to clear out the water lines prior to freeze up in these northern climes. Although I have used compressed air I don't feel confident enough that there is enough air volume at relatively low pressure to remove those stubborn water pockets. Just curious to know what other podders think about this.

I do the same, with cold temps that we have in Alberta I'd rather be safe than sorry

I would rather be safe than sorry. In middle TN air has worked for me for a number of years.

My neighbour only uses air in his motorhome and although he seems to get away with it I am not confident enough as there must be some pooling at the pump outlet..

The places I watch specifically are the toilet valve and the back flush valve. That is where I have had issues, my own oversight. No problems with water lines, drains, etc.

Hmm, and whoops! I didn't consider the back flush valve. Water must pool against that valve. Thanks, I will have to add that to my list..
