Call Jeff Couch and tell him what you intend to do - camp your way home... I am sure they will make sure that your r-pod is all set when you get there. They will prime the water system and make sure it has been flushed properly....

I'm curious - did you get a quote from Couch's? What did they say when you told them you were staying local? I'll bet they don't lose to many r-pod sales...Tongue

Keep in mind that these units are built in Indiana.  The longer the distance between you and Indiana is what creates a higher freight cost.  Do not forget that ANY r-pod dealer can set up a factory pick-up in Indiana so that you can still buy from your local dealer, and save money on the freight charges by driving to the factory and picking the unit up.

They are a very professional dealership and I don't mind sharing my email correspondence with Doug at all.

If you don't drink the water, don't worry about the bleach until you get home. Just run some water through the lines to flush. We always bring our drinking water in bottles.

When we picked up our 172 at the local dealer, they had it all prepped to use immediately.  Check with the dealer and let them know you are planning on using it after you pick it up.  Don't give up on getting your R-Pod.  We love ours after one weekend.
