Goodmorning Sandpiper !!
I will indeed look into that. I'll check all the paper that came with the Pod for the Furnace.
My problem is that Im not really good at this type of stuff. So any involved trouble shooting or checkin for electrical current, or the like, Im all thumbs in the dark.
But thanks for the suggestion, and I will look into the literature about the furnace unit.
HAPPY PODing !!! (get'n excited ???)

YUP ! About as excited as a kid on his first date.
We are going to give the pick up a good bath today, gas it up, pack up our "stuff"and head West early tomorrow morning. To say the least we are both chompin' at the bit to go. We managed to keep busy Friday and yesterday by getting our annual ration of grape juice for wine(20 gallon). This year I also got a gallon of concord juice so we spent yesterday afternoon making grape jelly and we also made some strawberry jam. The wine will be "cooking" while we are gone . Thursday I whipped up some wheel chocks and leveling pads from wood scraps I had laying around. Hey, PodPatrol. I just noticed your new signature and avitar. The Pod looks good behind your Honda. |

PodPatrol-
Don't know if you recall this thread earlier in the month, but maybe it will shed some light, or even reinforce what you are hearing. It does really sound like air in the line is a continued possibility.

Thanks Tusten :::
Yes, I do recall the thread you supplied. (Thank-You for link!)
At Couch's they did get it to ignite. I personnaly felt the "HOT" air coming out of the outside exhaust.
I could try with both range burners ignited and running Hot water out from the water heater (selected to use LP).
Then kick in the furnace to see if that may help with air/moisture in the lines.
Thanks for the infoe Tusten ... U da Man !!!
HAPPY PODing !!!

Hi Podpatrol,
I'd love to hear more of your experience towing with the Ridgeline as its in my top three choices to possibly replace my Escape with a slightly more powerful vehicle.
Did you lock out overdrive when you were towing?
Did the Ridleline then stay in 4th, or did it downshift to third or second at all?
Did it seem to be struggling at highway speeds?
Thanks,
Phil

I was very impressed by the towing ability of the Ridgeline.
Shifting was Smooth during hilly terrain, and the only thing I noticed was on very gentle slopes it would go back and forth from 4th & OD alittle too often. Maintaining a steady speed was not a problem in any other condition. I never used the cruise. I feathered the gas pedal to keep my speed to around 55 To 60mph. That worked excellent. The Honda had alot more in her, but I wasn't in any hurry, and gas mileage was a concern. I plan on digging into the Ridgeline manual and see what they recommend for towing. I'm not sure if OD is an option or hard wired. More on that later. What is really nice is having the bed cover and filling it with the camping gear, and the rear seat folds UP providing alot more space for "stuff" ! Cindy said it was ok to look at a topper for the bed come spring!! (Yeah) !!! The topper will increase our hauling space, better cut through the air when towing, and when used w/the cover it offers a few organization options. If you'd like pics let me know. I'll post them for ya ! HAPPY PODing !!! |
