Gonna make the four hour drive thursday to pick up our new pod, coulden't wait till spring. Hoping for a milder Indiana winter, gotta be better than last year. Now if we can just get a couple of days off together maybe spend a night at one of the state parks with a heated showeroom. |

Fabulous! We also have the 171 and love it. Turn on your water heater and enjoy your own heated shower!
Safe trip. |

Congratulations on getting your Pod. Have a wonderful first trip. You need to check out the 2010 Eastern US Roundup forum and get signed up. We don't have anyone from Indiana registered yet.

Was to pick it up today, Lynne got the day off, so now its 7f and high winds, woulden't be prudent. Will have to wait for another window of opportunity, heck we didn't make it 12miles to town last night for the Augie Smith show..

You didn't let a little cold weather stop you from getting you r pod did you ?
I understand. When we bought our sail boat some years ago it was in December and we picked it up in Rochester, NY on Lake Ontario. I almost got frost bite while fixing the trailer wiring for the lights but got on the road. It was the start of a blizzard as we left Rochester and I told Mrs' Piper we would be lucky to get out of town before the hauled us in for being idiots pulling a sailboat down the interstate in a blizzard. The only thing that saved us was we were headed SOUTH so they figured we weren't to stupid after all. |

Had a break in the weather and work, made the pilgrimage to Hamilton, spent thurs night in Richmond, then on to Couch's friday am. Orentation went smooth as I used to tow back in the day, got her all hooked up and the turn signals didn't work, faulty converter box, made the return trip without, all right turns anyway. Shop guys and everyone was very helpful. Only negative thing was I just wanted a pigtail for the electric cord, told it was in the starter kit, was under the impression that this was a freebee, kit was $109, didn't take inventory, heck could have bought all the stuff at The Evil Empire for bout $20.
Trip home was uneventful, 4cyl Nissan got a workout had to drop to 3rd on some grades, can see wind would have been a problem. Played with the prodigy controller while enroute, not recomended but some people never learn.
Made it back just in time, had to plow the drive saturday. Tried to include a pic but was too big, heck thhttp://www.myspace.com/267418013ey all look alike anyway, can be seen on The Ranch's myspace page.
