That is an excellent price ($830 with free shipping) on a new one. Best price I found before was $904 with free shipping. I'm still hoping to find a good used one for under $600. I'm probably just dreaming!

A western pod round-up sounds great but could we make it closer to CA? I'd like to be included but CA (I live in northern ca south of Sacramento) is so huge and far from the Pacific Northwest. What do you think guys?

I would be interested; but let’s see if we can first agree on a location. I think that somewhere in Oregon would accommodate a lot of west coasters. Frankly I would not mind holding it in Vancouver, B.C. but a place by the ocean in Oregon might be practical for more people to attend. I would be glad to help organize it if we have other interested pod people who would like to attend a “Western Roundup.” Ashland, Oregon has its’ Shakespeare Festival and a lot of excellent campgrounds. Bandon, Oregon is a sleepy little town right on the Pacific Ocean with a lot of RV Parks. Pacific City, Oregon is also a good location. So let’s put this together pod people here in this forum and come up with some ideas for a West Coast R-Pod Rally. June would be a god time to do it but we must act quickly if we want a nice place because, as many of you know, campsite reservations fill up very quickly. Any ideas? |

We're in as long as it's after the 11th and there's something for the kiddos to do.

Any suggestions on a location? The longer we wait to put something together the more likely nothing will happen. I already have my camping trips planned for 2010 but I'd still be interested in a West Coast R-pod rally. I can't make it to Kentucky but I do plan on being in Vancouver, B.C. this summer.
So if we're going to put this together the first thing is to solidify a location/campground where we might meet?

Oregon sounds like an awesome place to go. I think our kids would enjoy that location. We just need it after the 11th or a 4 day weekend (Friday - Monday) after the 1st.

Unfortunately those are too far south for us this summer. We have our big trip to yellowstone in late June and early July. The cities mentioned are about 8 hrs away, and we would need/want at least 4-5 days for a trip like that. It just doesn't work for us to make a Western round-up. We would be very intersted in a Western round-up for next year. We will probably only camp in Washington for our other trips this summer.
If you do go to Pacific Beach, check out the mail boats that go on the Rogue River out of Gold Beach. We had a great time.

Does the Navy base up there have an RV site?
