I see RV Nation in Hamilton is down to their last 2009 r-pod. They are advertising on their home page and google ad's that they are taking 2010 r-pod orders at 2009 pricing. That surprises me. Dealers out west are getting premium prices - as much as 20% above MSRP according to their blog.

I wonder what changes if any Forest River made to 2010 models? anyone know?

According to my title mine is a 2010 model.  But, I think it must have been one of the first ones made because I don't think it is any different than the 09's.

I believe there is a new door assembly, but that would not be an obvious difference.

Door assembly and 2010 in name is the only difference.

Re:  Dealers out west are getting premium prices - as much as 20% above MSRP according to their blog.
Prices are higher out here (Seattle area), but I think a large part of that is shipping costs. I am buying a 175 with all options except the axle risers for $17K. Alternatively, Jeff Couch would have shipped one to me for $13k plus $2760 for shipping. Having one shipped was not an attractive option to me (in spite of the $1240 savings) as I would have no dealer support at time of delivery and no idea what condition it was going to arrive in. Dealers are pricing above MSRP, but informed buyers are paying a lot less.

A fast inspection would show any shipping damage.  If it were damaged just refuse to accept it.  Any Forest River Dealer can do warranty work even if you didn't buy from them.  Mine is in a shop right now for a couple of very minor warranty issues.  It's isn't where I bought it either.  Just something to think about.

I have found a dealer to do $1300 over cost but it involves driving and picking up. You would still get a complete PDI and orientation in Indiana (not by Forest River), but would have to drive to Indiana. Half of that cost is a hard cost, the other half is profit.

Hi GEpaine,

Can I ask where you are getting your 175?  I am in the market but I haven't actually laid eyes on one in Washington.

I bought a 175 at Poulsbo RV in Mt. Vernon about 2 weeks ago. At that time there was also a 175 at their Everett location, but I believe it has been sold. That was it for 175's in western Washington at that time.
