Ted took off Friday, April 24th and we took a short drive to the Southern Kettle Moraine. We kept the speed at 55 mph, no cruise and locked it out of overdrive and our gas milage improved. Our campsite was sunny and had electric, flush toilets and warm showers. We didn't put any water into the system because it is still freezing at night sometimes in SE WI. The 171 has tons of lights and the outside light was really cute. The bed was very comfortable with a memory foam mattress, a fiberbed and a down comfortor. The refrigerator was spacious and worked well. The stove was easy to cook on. We put Gracie's bed under the dinette table. There was plenty of storage room. The 3M hooks worked out great.
Friday was a heavenly day in Wisconsin. It reached 80 degrees! We walked around our campground and then decide to take a short drive to a small section of the Ice Age trail. We hiked to a beautiful overlook. Ted grilled and we enjoyed the first campfire of the summer. Saturday morning brought the expected thunderstorms so we hung out in R-Poda, listened to "Click and Clack, the auto brothers" on NPR and drank coffee and wrote our list of forgotten stuff for next time. We took down in the rain which was so much easier than our old pop-up camper. I can't wait for our next campout at Govenor Dodge State Park.

Thanks LInda. Sounds like we live near you. We're from the Appleton area. We took off Friday the 24th and went up to Potawanami Park in Door County. Glad you had a good time.
