For our friends up in Wisconsin:

Italian Sausages With Peppers And Onions

4 lbs. italian link sausages; browned 5 cloves garlic; minced
1 (26 oz.) jar spaghetti sauce 2 tsp. dry leaf basil; rubbed
2 med. yellow onions; halved and sliced 2 tsp. dry leaf oregano; rubbed
2 green bell peppers; sliced into strips

Combine all ingredients in a 12" Dutch oven and stir to mix. Place lid on oven and bake using 6-8 briquettes bottom and 12-14 briquettes top for 2 hours.

Serve on hard or hoagie rolls.

Looks good, i will have to give it a try. I personally haven't tried cooking with a dutch oven before but I have ate meals prepared in them when camping and loved them so I decided I am getting one when I get my trailer. I am guessing the 12" is the way to go over the 10"? We would usually be preparing meals for 4 - 5 people.

Go with the 12 as that size you always have enough to share.  I carry both a 10 and 12 in the camper do many different things in the ovens.  Very easy to learn to cook with and once people start smelling the good food cooking you have all kinds of friends.

I bought a Dutch oven but I don't know how to use it.  Does anyone recommend a cookbook/How To Book for me?
