   Because of the complexity of the wiring harness setup for my hybrid TV along with the lack of a good mounting spot where my knee wouldn't be hitting the controller, I decided to go with the Prodigy wireless brake controller that uses a hand-held controller/transmitter that plugs into the cigarette lighter and a remote wireless receiver that mounts on the trailer tongue. Very straight forward with no wiring harness needed. Just mount the receiver on the the tongue, plug the pod's power cable into it, plug the power cord from the unit into your TV's 7-pin, plug the hand-held controller/transmitter into the cigarette lighter and you're in business.
I'm wondering if anyone is using this system and, if so, how do you protect the receiver on the tongue from getting stolen. The receiver is the main guts of the system and I don't feel comfortable mounting this $500 unit out on the tongue with the 4 self-tapping hex screws provided. 

The receiver is 4" x 4" x 10" so it's not exactly a low-profile addition to the front of the trailer. It will stick out like a sore thumb for everyone to see. The best idea I've come up with so far is to use different mounting screws, either one-way screws or something like Torx head screws (that most people wouldn't have). 

I thought about mounting a 2nd battery box next to the existing battery box and putting the receiver into that to hide it but the massive power cables (from the pod to the receiver and from the receiver to the 7-pin on my TV) will be a dead give-away that it's not a 2nd battery.

A quick release system where I could take it off and put it in the trunk of the car would be good but the receiver would have to be mounted firmly so it has no movement or the brake sensors inside it won't work properly (so, no, I probably can't use nylon ties or duct tape <g>).

The cable from the receiver that goes to the TV 7-pin is 8 feet long so I have a lot of room to play with.

My wife's low-tech solution is to throw an old dirty rag over the receiver when we're parked so no one will pay any attention to it <g>.

Has anyone dealt with this issue?
