Hello,
We are going out for hunting R-Pod 175 next week. My Explorer does not have Tow Hitch.
If anyone know the size ( I assume standard ball receiver but not sure what is standard) and dimention between R-pod Hitch and ground (From the R-pod site, it loos very low and adjustable much) ?
Any responce will be thankful .

You will need a 2" ball hitch. On my Highlander I went with 3/4" lift rather than a drop. It's just a preference that I have in towing. There is a slight sag on the rear end of my vehicle when it's attached so a lift brought the tongue on the trailer up just enough to level it out when traveling down the road.
Good luck in your search and welcome to the club.

Hi James,
Thank you for your postion. It is very hard to find R-Pod in west coast. However we found one and we can see and get it next week.
Do you recomend 3/4" lifter or a drop?

Hi again.
You can try it both ways. Your tow bar is universal and will turn either way. One way is a lift and turn it the other way it becomes a drop. I believe that my 3/4" lift is also a 1.5" drop. I'd go with this one and try it both ways. You may find that the drop will work out better for you because I believe your vehicle sets a little higher than mine.
BTW... you are going to love your pod! And you should have a nice time towing it with your explorer. Is it the V8 or V6?

It is V6 engine.
Do we need 4 pins or 7 pins for electric connector. Is it the round one? |

You will need the 7 pin round connector for the trailer wiring cable. Also, your vehicle will need a brake controller in order to operate the brakes.
