First camping trip of the season coming up this weekend and I can't wait.  Won't be able to leave until late Thursday after work, so we probably will be getting to campground around 10 or 11 at night.  Craig put rear lights on the back of the truck since we always seem to be setting up in the dark.  I hope this will help.

Big Meadows does not have any hookups and you can only run  a generator for two hours in the am and 3 hours in the early pm, so I am hoping that the mountains won't be too cold at night.  Still it will be nice to get to the mountains and do some hiking.  The next four days of work are going to be very long.

Once we get set up, I will try to get some pictures of the things we have done inside.  Craig did cut out the carboard front on 1/2 the sofa on our 175 to allow us to put shoes or something under the slide out sofa.  Hopefully, that will help as I am always tripping over my boots at night.  I put up the TP holder with the 3M adhesive strips and will see if it holds.  The new curtains I made this winter will be easier, I hope to sit up in bed against than the miniblinds.    It will be nice to sit in bed at night and read a magazine without feeling as though I should be getting some chore done instead.  Not too much you can do in the Rpod at night in a campground.  Wink   Can't even watch tv.  Usually after an 8 to 10 mile hike, I am exhausted anyway.    I do kind of wish that lodge was open to go to for dinner and listed to some local music but they don't open until next month.   No matter what, it will be nice to get out there again.

Actually that sounds exciting. The most fun I've had so far is putt'n around with the Pod. There always seems to be something that could be done to make it more efficent or useful. Such as your mods so far.

We decided not to tow Astro around much, but the thought of your trip sounds very exciting.
Please keep us informed !!!
