Hi there,
My husband and I just bought and had our first rv'ing experiance in our new R-pod 171. It is mostly just us as our kids are older (daughter still tags along every now and then ) I was THRILLED with our first trip and will never go back to a tent if i don't have to!! We are pulling it with a Ford Escape and find it pulls nicely.. hills can be a touch hard on the engine it seems but considering we have never towed anything before we have a bit of a curve for learning me thinks hehehehe I was reading about these roundups you guys have but I have one question..... do you guys ever have one up in Canada? Also I was reading about the Mods you guys are doing and alot of them are totaly awesome!! are you guys drilling into the walls?.. or using something super glueish? I worry about making holes in my new RP and have been buying things like moveable shelves and such but those have to be packed away each time so they don't go everywhere I look forward to some nice talks about our new life style and ideas to make them even better!

Welcome! We love our 171 and think it's just the right size for the two of us. (plus dog)
We too are hesitant to drill holes in the walls. Command hooks are wonderful. I've thought that if I wanted to hang something on the wall I might consider using the backing for the command hooks. I did put a mirror up over the sink and was able to find Command picture hanging stuff. It's like velcro and seems to hold the mirror well.

We took delivery of a 171 in february and have been out 5 trips so far, after camping in a tent it is great to have a bed, shower and toilet right there. we have had no problems, are towing with a 6 cylinder jeep, converted to twin propane tanks and batteries and it tows great! We added a foam topper to bed, shelves and stuff in kitchen, made a stove cover and added latches to storage areas in seats.

Congrats Nerbiepie .... Ive noticed no complaints so far on the 171's ....
As mentioned, we are all new to the r-Pod, since they have been in production since 2008.
But we're finding out quickly about the attraction we all share for them.
May you many happy excursions !!!
