Are you referring to the name or the number?  The name is also a reference to the original shuttlecraft.

Correct!! a place to go to relax -a fitting name, I thought.
 
As a side note; after selling the boat it occurred to me the name Ten Forward, in addition to immediately labelling one as a Trekkie, could also be confused with 10-4 on the VHF radio - ooops.
