Does anyone use a blue boy that tows the POD with a non-truck (no open bed) vehicle? If so, where do you guys store/carry it? I know most people carry it underneath their rig or on the ladder. However, I was thinking of strapping it to the spare tire.

I guess no one uses a blue boy when they're camping places with no sewer.

Kenn - We don't have a blue boy now but we used to have one with a previous camper we owned. It does the job but can be very messy unless you're careful. When traveling, we used to put it inside the travel trailer (empty and cleaned on the outside, of course). There was plenty of room for it on the trailer floor. Not sure if there's enough room in an rpod, though.

I've seem some people attach them to the rear ladder of their TT's or supported on the rear bumpers. I think your plan to attach it to your spare might work. Just make sure you attach it securely. Those things are pricey!

Alternatively, maybe you could design some kind of "rack" for the back of your pod next to your spare tire that could be welded to the rear frame. You'd have to be careful not to block your taillights, though.

Another possibility might be to get a luggage rack and attach it to the front or back of your pod and hold the tank there with bungee cords. Might be risking drilling mounting holes in the pod skin, though, and I'm not sure it could hold the weight unless you were able to drill into supporting members.

How about on the roof? I haven't been up there so i don't know if there's enough room or how you'd mount it. The blue boy isn't something you'd be using all of the time so getting up and out of the way might be good.

I'm all tapped out for ideas. Maybe someone else has some better suggestions.
