Thanks to everyone for sharing all of their really cool (and practical) mods with all of us. I have gotten some really good ideas for our new home away from home. We are going on our 2-night maiden voyage this weekend and I've already started my own projects based on all of the good ideas I've borrowed from others.
1) I put a cheap over-the-door mirror on the bathroom door w/felt pads on the hanger (so it doesn't booger up the door) and on the bottom (in case it bangs on the door). I will remove it during transit.
2) I bought a large (but lightweight) wooden cutting board from Wally World to be used as a stovetop cover. I will visit Lowe's today/tomorrow for something to serve as legs. I will probably use this "super" glue that I used to attach wood trim to a closet track header instead of screws.
3) My duo crockpot contraption arrived today from Amazon to sit on above-mentioned cover.
4) The fabric store is right next to Lowe's so I will be stopping in there for some Velcro. I am going to remove that awful leg nicker thing from the table support for the bed/dinette and attach Velcro. For those that have done this, what did you use to attach: hot glue, super glue, wood glue, something else??
I have lots of other "projects" in my head that may or may not get done before winterization this year. If not, I'll work on them in the spring.
Happy trails,
Tammy
