I finally got around to installing the Fan Hi/lo position switch for the Hunter digital thermostat I installed in the pod.
The switch right next to thermostat is a single pole, double throw switch I purchased from an RV dealer. Down is "Fan Low" and up is "Fan High". I am really happy with the noise difference between the two now. This picture is fuzzy, but it shows the wire connections to the thermostat. The red wire coming out of the wall that is taped off is the original wire from the pod. It is not used. The other wires are as follows left to right: "G" is the brown wire from the pod. To add the High/low switch, install a jumper from this screw to the center post of the SPDT switch you add. "W" is the White wire from the pod. "Y" is the yellow wire from the pod. "Rh" and "Rc" are jumped between and the green wire is on the far right "Rc" post. The blue wire has a termila crimped on it and goes to one of the remaining terminals on the SPDT switch (one terminal does not get used). That's how I did it anyway, and it works good. I went for an RV style switch for looks and because there just wasn't a lot of room in the thermostat to put a switch. I will eventually break out the label maker and label the switch. Hope this is helpful to somebody out there, Karl |
