I have a seam on a cushion splitting open.  When the dealer send a pic to Forest River, they messaged back to take more pictures and send it off to the cushion manufacturer rather than deal with the manufacturer themselves.
I'm not impressed with this kind of service.  I didn't buy the cushions from the manufacturer, I bought them from  my dealer  who dealt with the problem by contacting Forest River.  Forest River shouldn't be passing the buck on down.

Hrmm...  here's my two cents: if the cushion has to go back to the cushion manufacturer, then that's where it should directly go.  Why waste time sending a cushion to Forest River, who then send it to the cushion manufacturer, who then fix it and then send it back to Forest River, who then sends it back to your dealer?

I don't necessarily see any passing of the buck here.  Just efficiency and the most speedy resolution to your problem.

Of course, the proof is in the pudding.  Did Forest River contact the cushion manufacturer and arrange for an RMA?  How are shipping costs being addressed?  Will Forest River step in and handle and discrepancies?

I'd forget all the sending back and forth hassle and just take it somewhere to get resewn.

Maybe FR will step up to the plate and reimburse you. It's got to be cheaper than shipping costs.

Under warranty, FR told the dealer to send it directly to the cushion maker? Seems OK to me.  The dealer and FR can settle up between themselves.

However, if you're being involved in a warranty repair other than to drop off and pick up the pod, that's unacceptable.
