If someone is organizing this trip we would be interested. We have taken two cruises up there and loved it. My Dad was a prospector in Hider and have always wanted to visit the area.

Anyone planning an alaska trip may want to consider taking the ferry system thru the inland passage then finishing your trip thru alaska and down the alaska ( alcan). Hwy. The ferries have to be scheduled in advance, little if any flexability during summer months. Then travelers can be flexible as they do the rest of their trip.

Same here.
BTW, the ferry system is very expensive. I'd rather just go straight up I-5.
