We have a 7 yr old male Shih Tzu named Chan. One of the reasons we bought out 177 was to have enough room to take him, when possible, camping and hiking with us. Our old Aliner just didn't have enough space for two adults and one doggie. Our trial trip was to a KOA about 45 miles south of us. We got there in the evening, and just had enough time to set up and go to bed. I layed down his sleeping blanket on front of the refrigerator, and he settled in.....for all of 20 minutes. He decided that wasn't the spot, so I moved it under the table, which was good for a couple of hours. That night was spent with him mostly trying different spots, and me mostly not sleeping.
The next day was a hiking day, and we spent from 9 am to 6 pm hiking the local parks and trails. That night Chan, who was pretty beat, gladly jumped into the Pod for some sleep. My wife and I crawled into bed to watch a DVD. After 15 minutes she commented on a weird noise inside the trailer. I looked under the edge of the bed, and found Chan dead asleep in the storage area, snoring up a storm!Eurika! I moved his sleeping blanket under the bed for him and he happily stayed there all night. We all got a good nights sleep.

I can relate...Bought a BIG pillow/bed for Hercules (Lab Mix) since he is getting old and his hips sometimes ache, I placed the pillow in between the bench seats.  Well the smallest chihuahua took position on the pillow, Hercules sleeps in front of the door, just in case someone might knock.  The other chihuahua finds the darkest corner of the lower bunk.

Believe me I'm made aware of any engine or other miscellaneous noise outside that they disapprove of!

Still a work in progress, lots of pictures.

Too cute.  Dogs are special and they will certainly let us know what they want or need!

We wound up putting an old futon mattress on the dinette and a couple of round dog beds. The hounds will immediately push one onto the floor, two hounds call the dinette and one calls the floor.

We have been trying to adopt a dog for the last three weeks. I honestly believe it  would be easier to adopt the president of the U.S. than a dog (Shetlie).Dead On second thought, I think we will adopt Bill Gates.

Try adopting a child from a foreign country. We did that and it took years. We actually needed a document signed by the United States Secretary of State as part of the process.
