Take a look at the "Cassette" awning Casita puts on their small campers. We've been thinking of going that route. I think the brand name of that awning is "Catalina".

The difference between the Casita and the R-Pod is that the Casita doesn't have the curved front and back, so there's more room to put an awning that you can crank out.  Also, I'm wondering if the awning would get caught on the door like the R-Dome has a way of doing now.

We had an awning made to fit our Rpod and it worked well, but is not all that big 6' x 8" In so many campsites there is not room to put it up so we use the pop up sunshade most of the time over picnic table. We do like the awning for winter camping keeps the door way dry and gives you a little space for storage under it. I think the name of the company was Bear Creek Awnings and there should be a post here with a picture. Good luck.

Anyone else have a problem with bugs in the 'tent cave' as I call it? Bees, flies, gnats, etc enter, gravitate to top and have no way out.

I was very proud of myself when I put my dome up by myself for the  first time! The advise for the silicone was a life saver!
