I will be towing my R Pod with a 2011 V6 Tacoma pickup. Do we need an equilizer hitch or stabilizer bar?

The WDH, I don't know. My guess is that you don't need it. As far as the antisway, I wouldn't pull any trailer with any TV without one. I just don't think it's safe to have that thing able to "wag" like a dog's tail back there. You never know when you may have to make an emergency maneuver and you want everything working for you to keep that trailer tracking straight behind you if/when that happens. And antisway is inexpensive . . . less than $100. It's cheap insurance. Others will tell you otherwise, but that's my opinion with many years of towing different types of travel trailers with different tow vehicles. -- Steve

Thanks. Just so we are on the same page, you are talking about needing the sway stabilizer, correct?

We had our swaybar installed just about 3 weeks ago and as the others have already said: "I wouldn't travel w/o it. We had encountered some hefty winds near the Mackinac Bridge between the lower and upper peninsula of Michigan and had to travel 45 mph or less so the 'tail' wasn't wagging the dog. Kind of scary to say the least. Since then we have had some strong cross winds with the sway bar and have encountered zero problems.

We use a anti sway bar and it really helps.

We pull with a Nissan Frontier and have an anti sway bar which works very well. Previously, we pulled with a Equinox without the anti sway bar. There was some difference but not as much as I thought there would be since it was added.
