The plastic guides on my drawers broke/cracked so i am having to replace them. I didn't use the drawers that much nor have i usedthe r pod that much. If they break again, what is the oppinion/option of taking out the drawers and and replacing it with a matching door and hinges if i can get one. The space would be great for a couple of tubs andwould storemore tha the three drawers. Most od that stuff is hanging on a door shoe holder with pockets.

Sorry to hear about your drawer guides breaking  - - - That happened to us so I made a trip to Camping World and found replacement guides that would work.  Not an exact match, but it worked and motions to make the replacement were not impossible.  In other words, no big deal.

Obviously, that begs answering your question about installing a door with hinges to try and gain more storage space. At the end of the day, that would be a matter of personal taste and choice should you feel the need for a different type of storage space in that location.  From the sounds of it, even with moderate cabinet making skills, it should be a relatively easy task.

Good luck should you jump in and do it.  Joe

We have also had this problem and replaced the plastic drawer slides.  We also purchased our parts at Campers World.  They were not much money and I was able to do it myself.  It seems that most RV manufacturers are using these cheap plastic drawer glides instead of metal.  They are saving a few pennies and causing lots of problems for RV owners. After 2 of the drawers broke, I lightened them up considerably and hope that solves the problem for a while.

We replaced ours twice on the top drawer. not hard to do but I think the slides are cheap and the frame for the drawers are not really stable so a little weight and a little shifting and they break.
