The risers cost less than $100 and are well worth it.  Unless you have your own shop, I can't see how anyone could cut and weld together two risers for equal or less than what FR charges.  In addition,
there is no way that two trailer tires and wheels could come close to matching the cost of the risers.

Hi.  Is your clearance problem at the back end?  If so, a quick solution is to lower the hitch.  Lowering the hitch pivots the back upward.  That worked for me to get an inch or so more clearance to negotiate a sloped campsite entrance.

Camping world has an adapter for the jacks that lets you remove/ replace them with a kinda bayonet mount?
Safejack if I'm correct.

I thought about going with larger tires, but after costing out the difference in the FR factory risers versus the cost of trailer qualified larger tires, I went with the risers.  The fenders do sit higher now that the Pod is 4 inches taller.  The pop-out steps are now more equidistant.  Before, the step nearly touched the ground.  It is going to be a lot cheaper to replace the standard tires.
