I would like to suggest at campground in the center of North Carolina for a rally
I am currently at the "Zooland Family Campground" in Asheboro, NC.
This is my second trip to this campground and the improvements are really great since last year.
This CG has everything the whole family would want including putt put, swiming, play area, propane refill, fishing pond, game room, and well stocked store.
The area around Asheboro has a lot of thing to do as well. The NC Zoo is one of the best in the courntry.  Seagrove, NC is the pottery capital of the east and is only 20 miles away. Several winerys in the area are fun to visit.
The campground offers discount camping for several RV clubs as well.  I got my site for half price during the week and they are more than willing to accomodate any number of campers
the website to check is:  www.zolandFC.com

Pepper,

My cousin Sharon is the Rally Master for the Blue Ridge Rally you are referring to.  Trisha and I were there.  The rate is the best rate she could get.  This particular campground does fill up after Memorial Day with a lot of seasonals for the summer.  So the best time to go there would be prior to that weekend.   The campground owners were really nice.  Sharon spoke very highly of them. Also if you click on my blog link at the bottom of the page, you can find some pictures and blog posts from the rally.

We can talk about this more at the Kentucky Rally.  It would be fun to have a Pod get-together in the NC area.

Rob

Hey Rob, why don't you let them know about Sharon's blog too??  I read them all religiously. I was at the BRR also and had a great time. Roads are a little windy, but i did find a better route out. It's about 4 or 5 hours NE from knoxville.

We would love to attend a rally in North Carolina.  We actually live in South Carolina, but over the state line close to Charlotte.  Anywhere within a reasonable distance is fine with us.  We would be happy to help out with planning as well.

We would love to come to North Carolina. Someone pick a spot this winter and start planning it. We will be glad to help with anything when we get there. Rallies can be as simple or complex as we want to make them. Our recent roundups have been very relaxed events that everyone seemed to enjoy.

We have plans to check out a campground in the Asheville, NC area later in the fall.  If it looks good, I will post it here.  That would be a good area, lots to do and see.  Rob

We have camped several times in the past near Asheville, and yes it is pretty and there is a lot to do.  Can't remember the name of any of them at the moment, but I can look online and see what I can find.
