I once pulled over for a beautiful Airstreem TT lying on it's side in the ditch on Interstate 12. Long story short, for the the brakeaway circuit to work, there must first be a battery on the trailer, and it must be connected to the circuit. If you have a manual battery disconnect switch installed, make sure it is on before you take off.
