Let's just say the harness needed work, had nothing to do with us not plugging it correctly.  Anyway, had another one installed but the place couldn't figure out what the yellow wire was for, I guess the wiring/color of wires isn't standard.  What does the yellow one go to??

Thanks!!

While there is a "standard" for the wire color in the umbilical cord, they "often" are not followed. The standard for wire position is.

For lack of a better way to put it, if "the place" cannot put a tester on, or trouble shoot what is working and what isn't, to make sure they have the right wire in the right position.. you need another "place".

I was stuck at a campground and had no choice.  I needed brakes/lights to get home.  The only thing that doesn't seem to be working is the fridge on battery.  Could that be the yellow wire?

Pretty sure that is not the problem. Check the fuse for the fridge. If the fuse is good, try restting the fridge.

Disconect your battery or pull the fridge 12v fuse, and trip the 120v circuit breaker to the fridge circuit. Give it 5 minutes, turn it's power(s) back on, see if it runs on 12v then.

The wiring on my R POD tv plug is NOT standard.  Tsunami posted on this or the other forum a color code for the connector.  That should tell you where the yellow wire goes. If I remember right it is not used.

Here is a link to the standard color layout.. again it is not always followed.. as long as the wires go to the right place.. all is good (functionaly). Not saying it's right, just that it happens.

On the under side of my pod the YELLOW wire is just caped off.  Most of the time the yellow is a extra power line for other appliances.
