Had a great with the Pod on our first trip. Did not have any issues with the hot water heater but the fridge did not cool very fast on electric but was fine We had a little rain today in Missouri but we took the dogs to the pool and we had a great time.

In two weeks we have a week long vacation planed at Johnson shut-inns and we have a lot to do before then. i already have some mods in mind and we need to add the risers and maybe remove the shades and add curtains. next week we get the R-Dome so I am excited to see how it works!

It does take a while to get the fridge cooled down, best to start a day or so ahead if possible. Also try not to put warm items in the fridge, cool them down to if possible.

Once you cool it down, as Furpod said usually a day or so before you leave.  I always find it's good to throw a few frozen things in the fridge.  Depending on what our meat or prepped ahead of time meals are, we will freeze those things and disperse them amongst the shelves.

Really helps maintain temps and is good for recovery times once you open the fridge to snoop around for your food.

If you have the room and aren't using much of the door space a few frozen water bottles on the door do a whole lot to help keep things cold.

It's very easy to overload your fridge and blocking the top shelf where the fins are in the back can really hamper effective cooling.

We had a lot of stuff packed on the top shelf this past trip and I was unhappy because some sodas on the door weren't getting too cold until we removed some of the stuff on the top shelf!
