We are no longer wishing - the 2014 178 arrived yesterday - great deal from Couch RV Nation. Love it.

We bought our new 178 Rpod in January, after wishing for one for several years! We're going on our 3rd trip (this one 4 hours from home!) Can't wait. One of my concerns is that the furnace is under the head of the bed! I hope it is safe! Has anyone had any problems with this? Also,we had a leak around one corner of the slide out during our last trip where it rained cats and dogs. And, the hot water heater only worked on gas. Any solutions out there?

Welcome!

No need for worry about the heater under the bed, other than the noise it makes. However, if you're going to be at a campground with an electrical hookup, what a lot of us do is to use one of those little "cube" type heaters. They put our plenty of heat to warm up your rpod and you're using the campground's electrical service instead of your own propane.

love: check out the toggle switch in the outside water heater compartment. It is a little difficult to see but its there, it must be turned on/up for the water heater to work on electric. Make sure you have water in the hot water tank before you turn on the power to the water heater. Happy podding.
