We just picked up our 179.  Love this forum.  We've already gotten some really great ideas for mods.  Hubbie already is working on shelving over the bed with baskets for storage, and dividers in the drawers.
Once we take it on the first trip (counting the days), I know we'll be looking for more ideas.

So great to have the ability to "pick the brains" of those who know R-Pods the best!Clap

Welcome to Poding!  I traded my 171 in for a R-179 and really like it.  I think the floor plan really works well.  I lowered the TV screen, installed better speakers, and a much better mattress.  When you set it up at the campsite, make sure you block the wheels.  A slight incline can cause it to roll.  That's no fun.

Hi! We just took delivery of our 179 2 weeks ago. It's currently in AZ at my mom's in Lake Havasu. Can't wait for the summer and some great adventures. I found some great sources for cheap shelving and cargo nets on the wish.com app. I've also been busy ordering all of the needed set up items.
I like the YouTube reviews. Hope you all have an adventurous summer!

Welcome to the new 179 owners!  I have really enjoyed mine.  My 179 is my second pod and they have been trouble free.  The slide out makes a big difference and I'm looking forward to some trips this year.  See my other posts on various mods.  Safe traveling and enjoy your investment.

Hi Lark! Where are the other modification posts? Maybe I am missing them somehow.

Thanks,
Gretchen

Hi 1nomad   I posted under mods, my installing dual LP tanks,  aftermarket speakers and moving the TV mount lower on my 179.   When I took delivery,  I had the dealer install the lift kit which I also had on my 171.   I highly recommend the lift kit to prevent any dragging.

Hi Everyone,

I just ordered a 179 and I am picking mine up in early May. I am moving up from a pop up after years of tent camping. I can't wait!

Best,
Elliott

We leave for our first trip in our 179 next month.  Just a long weekend at Tawas Point State Park in Michigan.  So far we have reservations for 7 trips this summer all around the beautiful state of Michigan.  Can't wait to get out and try our R Pod out Tongue.  What a great upgrade from our pop-up.
